Day four: The winds of change

Metaphor is defined by dictionary.com as
A figure of speech in which a word or phrase that ordinarily designates one thing is used to designate another, thus making an implicit comparison, as in “a sea of troubles” or “All the world's a stage”

When you want to great things in life, you must first be alive to do the great things. Jay is still alive. Our hero cant look at this as the end of the cold war. He instead should embrace and shwanked into the winds of change.

Here is an artistic effort I was inspired to create and offer:

passion is a cop out for "I don't want to work". The problemn is not that women and jobs suck. The problem is that for many years now you have tried to have carnal realities as if they can fulfill you. Time to take some time off, drink beer and read PILGRIM'S PROGRESS again. That is your assignment. You are in there bro, and right now, you are not the main character. But, like I said... hope springs eternal. The work we do here would be considered the lowest of the low in the world. We work for hours in the searing heat, digging holes, dragging timbers, hauling grain, shoveling crap. Most people in your generation and after that will never, ever, ever stoop to do real work, because it is... well... it is real work. It is what God commanded. Can you go out in 103 degrees and lift one shovel after another with no paycheck and no retirement? I think not... not right now. Listen, I've been here before and I know the layout. I'm not judging you, I'm telling you facts. As my friend and a guy I love, I would like to use this brilliant blog to tell you that if you have done 5 days of honest, real labor in your life I would be surprised. That is just a fact, not a slam. I have the highest hopes for you, and I want to see you succeed, but carnal success will only leave you emptier than the women you like (but hate).

There is always a shovel and pick here for you. You would eventually find it cathartic, and salvific... or you will run back to the world so fast your head will spin.

Time is real, and it is limited, and this "pretend I am in a movie with a cool soundtrack wearing a robe and defiling myself" will be nothing more than a tear stain when your ticker stops for good. My life is to short to sit around cataloging clever cliche's and to act like there is a film crew following me around. I stopped trying to be rich, famous, clever or well-liked a long time ago, and if no one ever blogs about me and I die like a whisper with no one to see, I would like to meet my maker knowing that faith destroyed my fantasies BEFORE I went up yonder.

Time for a thought enema, a shot of courage and straight talk from someone who wants to see you stand.

But, if you pigeon out again, we will always be here for you bro.
